Hawaii 2011

Jay D and I decided to take off to Paradise this last week!

and Paradise it was... I am sad to be home! I was in heaven!

I got to spend 24/7 with the love of my life and enjoy the beautiful weather, walks on the beach, bike riding along the ocean, Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Kayaking, Yummy food, reading books on the beach, hiking, warm rain, card playing, Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup, Farmers markets, and so much more!

A year ago I thought I'd be in a different place but someone has had other plans for me! So why not enjoy a nice relaxing vacation with some of my most favorite people!?

We are so grateful for my parents letting us tag a long and use the spare bed! and I loved spending time with my sister Sheena and Nick who make us laugh non stop and of course Autumn!! I just can't get enough of her! even though she doesn't always want to like me I still love her to pieces!!!

Graduation Class of 2011

This is a Proud moment for me!

I am so proud of my Jay D! He stuck it through to the end!

Going to college isn't easy and it sure takes a lot of time.

He worked 40+ the whole time and went to school full time!

Not many people can say that they worked almost 50 hours a week and went to school full time! (it is my bragging right to show how amazing he is)

I am so grateful he was able to receive an education and doing this so he can provide for our future family! Graduating is such an accomplishment!

We spent the rest of the day resting, Eating a fantastic dinner at Maddox with both of our parents, and watching TV and went to bed early!

It was a great day! Can't wait to see what happens next!



April Showers Bring May Babies! AKA Baby Shower

Saturday I did a shower for my friend Amanda who is having a Baby girl next month!

She is so cute and tiny! We had so much fun catching up and reminising about the good ol' high school days!  These girls are the girls that I went through with the most and hung out with all the time! more so in Jr. High! But I just love them all the pieces!!

Cooking TIps!

I wish cooking and baking were the same! I love to bake! I don't know why it is so much more appealing to me?  Cooking on the other hand I am horrible at. Don't get me wrong I know how to cook but I am horrible at coming up with meals and using the food I have. I am always running to the store last min. to grab one ingredient I am missing. It is so frustrating.

I really need to cook more so that we can save money. We spend so much money on eating out and grabbing lunch etc. If I cooked enough food that we had leftovers we would have lunch and dinner for like 2 days.

What do you do for meal planning?

What have you found is the best way to save money when you cook?

How do you come up with meals?

How do you come up with meals that are yummy to you and yummy to a picky eater?
