Our Weekend!

Sorry I never have pictures anymore I always forget my camera or just forget to take pictures!

We had a really fun weekend! Friday night Jay D and I went with our friends Landon and Michelle and Scott and Jalene to Knowing the movie.. I don't want to ruin your opportunity to go see this movie but I only give it a half thumbs up! I'd wait to see it in the $3 theater if you really want to see it cuz I am glad I saw it but didn't love it, anyhow, after the movie we decided to go to WAL-MART and get Twilight at Midnight... yes we did! There were tons of people! I wasn't planning on watching it that night though it was way past my bedtime, but the lady in front of me said "you bet I'm watching this movie tonight I got my popcorn, diet coke in the fridge and brownies made" she was way more prepared than I was that's for sure!

Than on Saturday like almost every Saturday we went to Pizzaria with Jay D's family and I enjoyed a yummy deluxe salad! Later that night we went to Tepanyaki with my family to celebrate my two oldest siblings birthdays Shaun and Brooke! 30's used to seem so old to me but now that I have siblings that are in their 30's they are still young! It was so much fun to see everyone and actually go to dinner with my family it is so hard to get everyone together and even this time it was kyle and Tami were unable to make it but they were missed and missed out on a good meal!

Today at church I found out that the Primary Presidents daughter had passed away over the weekend and it was very sad. She was a very cute girl and just had gotten baptized a few months ago. Our prayers will be with this family! The primary president has always been so nice to me and always makes sure I feel welcome in this new ward I don't know very well and I appreciate it so much so I just hope her little family can be blessed!

Thanks for the few of you who check out our blog! I know it is not too exciting!

Have a Great Day!

PS. Jay D and I will have a new niece either tonight or tomorrow and we are very excited to meet her!

Disappointment

Disappointment... we've all felt this way one day or another!
sometimes i just need a good cry to feel better but it doesn't answer my reason of "why me?" however, i know so many other people are asking themselves that same question, yet, I had a way of prevention all my decisions always turn out to be so confusing because most all of them are good decisions. Hopefully this fork in the road will turn out to be the right path.

Change

Change is something I enjoy; however, some people would see the word change and cringe but no not me, I love change! I am always excited for something new and exciting, meeting new people, making new friends, finding an adventure, seeing other new places! Change is so exciting to me! I love new, fresh and clean! It just feels so good! I can't wait to get our own place and be able to change all the rooms and decorate it and when I get bored of it all I can change it again! I think change is the reason why I love to travel. Traveling just gets you out of the same old thing every day routine. It is something new to experience and that is why I am always planning my next trip whether its to St. George or Europe they are both exciting to me! Change is good, it opens you up to new things! So take a challenge and enjoy a little or big change in your life today!

Catalog Show!

Hello Family and Friends,

As some of you know I have just joined the Pampered Chef Team and I am way excited about it! This past month I've held 3 shows -2 open houses and 1 catalog show! They turned out to be a success, but I am just short of reaching my goal! So for your benefit and mine I am going to host a catalog show myself to reach my goal in my first 30 days of sales! If you or anyone you know that loves Pampered Chef as much as I do please Fwd this on so that they know they can order! Also, I wanted to share that if you and your friend wanted to order a couple things but don't want to pay the $4.50 in shipping and handling you can put your items on the same order to split the shipping and handling! My e-mail is dal.pass@gmail.com please contact me with any questions or concerns and if I don't know the answer I will find out! If you forward this onto someone you know and they purchase something I will give you an additional 10% off your purchase! Also if you know any engaged couples please refer them to me for Registering with Pampered Chef so that they can earn up to $200 in free product!

*Please contact me with your order and/or if you would like me to drop you off a catalog! You can also view products online at www.pamperedchef.com

Thank you for all your support!!

Wedding Registry!

Since I have had a few friends get engaged the last couple weeks I wanted to share this information! It is most likely when you get married that you hardly have any kitchen supplies? Am I right? Well when you Register with Pampered Chef did you know that you can earn up to $200 in FREE product? Also why not have a fun Pampered Chef Shower and instead of your guests having to go out and find something for you they can come to the shower and purchase something for you out of our catalog! If you know anyone that has recently gotten engaged pass this information onto them with my name! I am trying to get my business started and your help would be greatly appreciated! Click here to see more of the Pampered Chef products!

On the Search!

So I got cut hours at work =-( so I have been on a job hunt. I have applied I think at like a million places and have not heard back from anyone! It is so frustrating and I know that so many people are searching for jobs at this time and that makes my luck worse. I applied at a place far far away (not really far but in the boonies) and I am hoping to hear back from them I have all the experience that they require and more. I think I would be really good at it, however, they have not closed the job yet and it feels like it has been forever! So if you or anyone knows of any jobs PLEASE let me know I would greatly appreciate it! 20 hour pay checks just don't seem to make any kind of help towards our bills poor Jay D has been working his butt off so we can still have some fun and pay our bills bless his heart! I am so thankful that I married a husband who is such a hard worker because I can always know that no matter how hard times get there will still be some money to make ends meet!

Where did you go?

Motivation?! where are you?

January 1st I was so motivated to go to the gym I even bought a gym pass (than of course a week later my hours got cut) I think I lost motivation somewhere on vacation and waking up in the middle of the night! I was doing so good for a week! That was a record for me! But I need my motivation or maybe its just more time! Sometimes I just want to come home from school/work and watch TV or hang out with Jay D......... Motivation!? where are you?

maybe if I look at pictures from two summers ago.. but having to walk in a swimsuit in front of my hometown was pretty good unbeatable motivation.

Leave me some motivating comments!!!!

Best Valentines Day Ever!

Some of you may already know this but I tend to not always have the best Valentines day's they usually turn out with me crying and asking why me? However, last years turned out to be okay but the year before it really made me want to never be apart of Valentines ever again! I swore I would never participate again! Yes the dreadful thing happened I got dumped ON valentines day! Who does that? I mean at least he could have dumped me the day before or after right? Still would have sucked pretty bad still but better than on the day of Love when everyone you know is getting gifts and flowers (oh I still got flowers but I was so mad I gave them back I mean now I look back and laught but who would want to look at flowers that were sent to you by the guy who dumped you? not me!) But the best part is now I have a sweet husband when I even tell him not to do anything he still does! And it was perfect I am a girl of simple taste I am not big into BIG things! I mean I won't complain if I got sent a dozen roses but what Jay D did was so sweet! He got me a single rose (which I love) and the best part 3 spa pedicures to a really top notch place (and I have already set my appt. for tomorrow afternoon) He is the best Husband I could ever dream of and he always makes me so happy!
I love you so much Jay D!
Me oh my! My gift was corny but he loved it anyways! I made him a valentine box like I had for elementary and I put on the hearts all the reasons why I love him and got him a box of mini chocolate! I felt a little sheepish after he got me pedicures but he said it was the best gift ever!
If any of you are still reading this.. we decided we would just keep things simple and not go out to dinner but make our own yummy dinner! We made our favorite Steaks, yams for me and potatoes for Jay D and rolls! It was perfect and started a movie but of course fell asleep!
sorry no pics

New Job! Please Read

In December my friend Ashley had a Pampered Chef party. I always get the invites to shows like Mary Kay, purse parties, clothes, etc. and with my busy schedule it's always on the bottom of my list (no offense but I'm sure most of you feel the same way) however, this show I decided I would go I was finally getting to the point where I felt like hey, I need some girlfriends to hang out with too! I had so much fun at this Pampered Chef party that I thought hey, I could maybe do this but I wasn't totally sure! So I just decided I would Host a party for my friend who was going to be a new consultant and help her out and myself since I had no pampered chef products and I love them! I decided to sign and become a consultant that's right I am now a Pampered Chef consultant. Not knowing that when I decided to become a consultant I would be cut down to 10 hours per week at work! So it has all worked out because now I have more time to do shows and earn a little extra to help pay the bills those dreaded bills! Parties are fun but hosting parties are even better because you get great benefits! Did you even know if you just host one party you get 10% off the entire year? So if down the road you decided you wanted that ice cream scooper you would get an additional 10% off! Please spread the word I would greatly appreciate it! And if you would like to host a party email me at dal.pass@gmail.com and we can set up a time. This goes out to everyone even if your just passing by and don't usually leave comments on my blog! You can't loose anything by hosting a party only gain something!

We're Back!

A vacation was MUCH needed and a great deal came at the right time! Even though we went to Disneyworld on our Honeymoon we hadn't known that there was so much more Disney to see! I think after this trip we saw it all.. well almost!

Day 1: The first day was so cold! It was in the 30's I was not expecting that and did not come fully prepared! But there were the benefits of having 30 degree weather in Florida like not waiting in long lines and getting to see splash mountain logs with no people that I think was the best!
Day 2: This day was a little warmer but was still cold. We decided to hit the America station in Epcot and watch the long movie well maybe not watch but sleep in the warm comfy seats!
Day 3: Was the day we went to Animal Kingdom! I really enjoyed this park a lot! All the fun animals and it is just fun to see all the detail they put into this park. The ground looks like its hundred of years old but really its almost new! Disney thinks of everything! Imagine that!
Day 4 & 5: These days are kind of a blur but I am pretty sure we just hit up all the attraction we didn't want to miss
Day 6: As you scrolled down through the not in order pictures I am sure you noticed me with an American Idol Number on my shirt! That's right I tried out for the American Idol Experience at Hollywood Studios (A.K.A MGM) It was such a blast. I decided I might as well try and what did I have to loose? I love to sing and perform so it would just be a fun experience. I went into the first audition and sang How lovely to be a women from bye bye birdie. The lady asked me if I had been in that play because I performed it so well.. (gee thanks ma'am but I only watched the movie) She passed me onto the next round (this was a confidence booster I tell ya gee maybe I really can sing) Well the next part they took you into this red room with Ipods and a big list of karaoke songs. I had to pick out two songs to perform to the big guy before I could be on stage! I chose Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood and Part of your world from the Little Mermaid. When I went into the 2nd audition I was nervous but excited! The guy was really nice and told me that no matter what happened that I should feel good that I got this far because they only take 400 auditions a day and only pass the top 10% onto the 2nd audition.. I mean if my calculations are correct that would mean only 40 2nd auditions a day... So he just pinned a rose on my nose! =-) Remember this all was just for fun and no assumptions! So I sang my song and as soon as the music started I knew I was gonna do bad so I just slapped a smile on my face and sang the song and tried my best! The music was loud and I couldn't hear my notes right so whatever It was just for fun and I had a blast! Honestly I really didn't want to be on stage that would have been scary, however, we went to a show and it was really like the real thing! AMAZING.. Disney thinks of it all!

TABOO

So we have these friends of ours Breanne and Chase. We like to hang out with them. It is always an adventure with them. I think out of all the months we've been good friends with them we have probably watched only 3 movies which is a good thing. It is not always the same old thing with them! So last night they came over for a late night of playing games. We started out playing clue, however, this game did not seem to have its magical effects as it did as a child so we decided to play a game of taboo. usually you would team up with your spouse right? Yet, we decided to go boys against girls. It is the only way! Men don't understand when you say something like " that place by the mall and the girls shouts out Costco!" (not that that is one of the words) But you get the idea right? The boys cheated by doing salt & blank! of course it is going to be pepper now tell me is that cheating or not? because they said it wasn't and we of course think it was! Taboo is my new favorite game and it gets very intense! So if your ever up for an intense game of Taboo call us up!

Change of Plans!

The Pampered Chef party will be held this Saturday at 11 am in stead of the 31st. I hope you all can come! It will be so much fun! When I was invited I wasn't sure if I really wanted to go to the Pampered Chef party but it was so fun to meet new people and learn a new recipe and just enjoy myself! Come I promise it won't be forever we will try to cut it to an hour! So I hope to see you there! Due to the fact that is one of the 3 most important days in Megan's life because she is choosing to get baptized! I feel so old when I think of having a niece and nephew who are old enough to choose the right and knowing that receiving the holy ghost is such a wonderful gift to have! It still seems like yesterday when I got baptized! I had to have everything like my older brothers and sisters did! The same church and my dad baptizing me! I could have had my oldest brother baptize me but I just wanted to be like everyone else and have my dad do it and now I am so glad I did! No offense Shaun! So Congrats Megan and Matthew for choosing the right to get baptized!

Your Invited!

I am having a Pampered Chef party on January 31st, 2009 at 12 p.m.
Lunch will be served!
Also I will be joining the Pampered Chef team by selling their products! I thought this would be a fun good way for me to meet new people, help build my clientele in the beauty industry, get lots of new recipes, become a better cook, cook more often for my husband, and make a few extra dollars to put in our savings account!
I would love for anyone who is interested in coming to come or if you can't make it and just want some new pampered chef let me know and I can get you a book.
Right now is a great time to get nice things for the kitchen to bring the family together for dinner and spend less on going out to dinner. Having nice cooking ware in the kitchen will make cooking for exciting and fun!
Please leave your e-mail so that I can contact you with more information!
Thanks, Lauren

Shocked!

I joined a gym! I went to a class this morning surprisingly at 5:30 am! I think the only time I have ever woken up that early was when I had to get to the airport!
I feel great after a great workout!
This month they are having a special where they will waive the enrollment fee if you sign up!

New Years Resolutions

Question: Has anyone ever followed through?

Here it goes.... Ever since I've gotten married I've eaten more and exercised less. How has this helped me? not at all!

I am going to work out! Eat Healthy and loose at least 10 pounds!

but guess what? I have really started the eating healthy part and it is really working I feel better about myself!

twenty-one

On New Years eve I turned the great and wonderful age of 21! When I went to my in-laws the other night I said "I just feel so different now" about 10 minutes later my niece Breklyn asks me Lauren, Why do you feel different now? I just replied because I'm 21 now! It was really cute! My birthday was so much fun besides the fact that I had to work that morning. My dad surprised me at work with balloons and than after Jay D and I just ran places to get stuff ready for the BIG New Years night! We went to dinner at the Coppermill (it was so yummy) with our good friends Chase and Breanne and than we headed up to my parents cabin for the night! We had a b-last! I think it turned out to be my best birthday yet! We did karaoke, and played tons of games! It was so much fun staying up late and hanging out with friends!
