The Customer is always right!

The other day Jay D and I and some of our friends went to this restaurant we really like! We all got there and decided we really weren't truly hungry but would like to share an appetizer and just socialize! We also had chips and salsa that were delicious! When we told our waitress we were only going to get an appetizer to share (cuz we felt bad we weren't ordering anything so we would get a appetizer at least so we weren't just coming in for chips and salsa) she got so rude! She grabbed our baskets of chips and rolled her eyes and you could just feel her bad vibe.
We were all like woah did we do something wrong? So when she came back I asked did we do something wrong because we got a bad vibe from you? We are not trying to cause any contention. My husband than asked can we get some more chips and salsa? she said "no because you have to order more food or they charge you for the 2ND basket of chips and salsa" (now she immediately assumed we weren't going to pay for the chips and salsa and was completely rude to us!!! )
I had never been so disrespected at a restaurant before! In my case the Customer is always right and if I had been in her position I would have said. Oh you only want an appetizer?
Okay that is fine, however, it is policy if you want more chips and salsa that I have to charge you if you don't order a certain amount of food, will you be okay with that? And we all would have said yes we understand that is okay or we would have said okay we'll be okay with no more chips! But no she had to immediately assume we were trying to steal there chips and salsa. Sorry to inconvenience you and for you to treat us so badly!
The most embarrassing part was everyone was staring at us! Like we were causing a huge scene so it was hilarious! I had never seen someone so boiled before over something so stupid!!!
We'll probably go back to this place but not for a while! And for all she knew we probably would have tipped well if she had just done what we asked because it was so cheap we usually just tip better cuz we aren't paying a lot!
but now its just something for us to laugh about and we were while it was happening!

Blog

This past Sunday Jay D and I went to my parents for dinner. My mom (who is a fantastic cook) made my favorite dinner. Pot Roast with fresh mashed potatoes and gravy and red cabbage and a delicious salad with fruit in it & of course her famous homemade rolls! My mouth waters just thinking of it! Anyhow, while we were over at dinner at my parents house my grandma asked me "do you write down and keep track of your experiences?" I automatically said "no". Because those of you who know my grandma she is very into genealogy and wants to make sure that everyone is writing down there experiences in life.
After I had stated my words I than remembered of course I do! That is what my blog is for. It is our generations way of sharing our memories and events that happen in our life. Until that moment I hadn't realized how big of an asset this blog can be. Some people state there opinions that they are bragging blogs, or a way to say your better than someone else. But now I look at it from a different view. It is our way to do genealogy in more fun exciting type of way!
I haven't really had anything exciting to blog about because we don't really have anything exciting to blog about. We have, however, owned our house for one entire year! That is so crazy to me! I think that is something for me to blog about! This past year has gone by so flipping fast! Our lives have changed a lot! A bunch of our friends have kids and so we do a lot more things different than we would have a year ago. I graduated from cosmetology school in Oct. and now I have been doing hair for almost 9 months and have been working at 2nd Avenue Salon for 6 months. Although building a clientele can get very discouraging it can also be so uplifting! I have met so many amazing people and the support I have had from people has been so helpful for me!
I am for sure not perfect but I really do appreciate the people who have trusted me and continued coming to me to get there hair done because it is very uplifting to me and makes me feel like I can do this!
Also, in this past year I have learned a lot about patience and having faith. It is easier to say that we are only given trials that we can handle but at the same time it can be very difficult to remember that and not want to wonder why me?
Well this is me starting to write more things down because my grandma would be proud but it took her saying that to me to realize in my generation this is my genealogy!

Follow the Leader

Okay, so lately this whole following blogs thing has gotten me up in the air! I don't know what to think? I worry about my hair blog because no one is following it I don't worry about it than I look at everyone else's blog and they have like 20 plus followers!
But really what does following a blog truly mean?
I'd like to know!
Thank you

Addiction!

I am to the point in my life I have tried getting to in the past 2 years. I can't wait to go to the gym! I can't wait to go sweat and watch the pounds fall off! I love the way I feel after a good work out and feeling that motivation inside me! It takes me back to the dancing days the feeling of wanting more of it! I can't wait to fit in my old jeans because I have some really cute ones. I am finally addicted to working out! And it makes it even better that I have lots of great friends to go to the gym with me!!
